EHG Awarded Global Framework Contract for Data Quality Audits (DQAs)Euro Health Group, as the lead consultant in partnership with Khulisa Management Services (South Africa), was awarded a global Indefinite Quantity Contract (IQC) contract for provision of services to conduct Data Quality Audits (DQA) on behalf of The Global Fund. Strengthening governance in primary health care in KyrgyzstanThe Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) funded EHG to implement a new long-term project in Kyrgyzstan to reduce non-communicable diseases, with a focus on hypertension, diabetes, breast and cervical cancer. Independent Impact Evaluation of Myanmar's 3MDG FundIn Myanmar, EHG was recently awarded a four year contract by UNOPS under the Three Millennium Development Goals (3MDG) Fund to serve as the Independent Evaluation Group. During a 4-year period, EHG and its partners, ITAD (UK) and the Department of Medical Research (Myanmar) will provide various evaluation services and serve as an advisor to the 3MDG Fund Management Unit on M&E related questions. Global Health Minders and the “Grand Convergence” in HealthIn 2014, Euro Health Group continued its active involvement in Global Health Minders, a Danish network of researchers and experts working in the field of global health. Global Health Minders aim to bring new global health challenges to the public agenda and make decision-makers, practitioners and the wider public aware of global health issues, challenges and improvements, in Denmark and beyond. Evaluation of the DILS Grant Programs in SerbiaEHG was appointed by the Ministry of Health in Serbia to carry out an independent evaluation of the 4 grants under the Delivery of Improved Local Services (DILS) Project which aims to increase access to health care to vulnerable groups, improve overall quality of health care, and strengthen information and communication technologies. Improving Supply Chain for Health Commodities in ZimbabweBased on our longstanding experience in procurement and supply chain management (PSM), EHG was contracted to conduct a supply chain assessment of all public sector health products in Zimbabwe on behalf of the Pharmaceutical Department of the Ministry of Health and Child Care (MOHCC) and UNDP as the Principal Recipient (PR) for the Global Fund grants in Zimbabwe. Evaluation of Danida's SRHR Strategy 2006-2013In late 2013, EHG was contracted by Danida to carry out an evaluation of its SRHR Strategy from the period 2006-2013 with a focus on determining Denmark’s contribution to SRHR outcomes across four thematic areas. External Verification of Results Based Financing in ZambiaEuro Health Group succesfully finalised a one-year contract with the Ministry of Health to carry out the first ever external verification in Zambia, internal verification is carried out by the project Implementing the Global Fund HSS Thematic ReviewEHG was contracted by the Global Fund to conduct a Thematic Review of its investments in health systems strengthening (HSS) in 14 targeted countries. EHG and ITAD awarded the Global Fund Strategic Review 2015EHG in partnership with ITAD was awarded a contract to implement the Global Fund Strategic Review 2015 which covers multiple countries. EHG Highlights of 2014 - Celebrating 25 Years 2014 was an exciting year for Euro Health Group as we successfully continued to provide consulting services across our four core technical areas while also expanding our portfolio into new thematic fields. DRG costing and payment exercise in the Republic of MoldovaEHG was contracted by the Ministry of Health, Labour and Social Protection in Moldova to provide technical assistance (TA) to the National Health Insurance Company (CNAM). The TA focuses on strengthening the function and capacity of procurement of hospital services by calculating the hospital costs for services based on diagnosis related groups (DRGs) and recalculation of cost-weights of DRGs used to fund hospitals. EHG Reviewing the Global Fund Market Shaping StrategyAs part of its evaluation of the 2012-2016 Strategy, the Global Fund commissioned EHG to conduct a Thematic Review on Market Shaping to examine the Global Fund’s role in shaping the market for key pharmaceuticals and diagnostic from 2011 through 2014. Kazakhstan University Leaders Participate in Training Programme in AustraliaA group of 17 professors, heads of departments and leading researchers in various universities throughout Kazakhstan is currently participating in a 2-week tailor-made pharmaceutical training programme at the University of New South Wales in Australia. Evaluation of UNFPA Family Planning Strategy 2008-2013In 2015, EHG in consortium with the Royal Tropical Institute of the Netherlands (KIT) was contracted by UNFPA to conduct an evaluation of its support to family planning at global level. The Inception Report has been published on UNFPA website and implementation of the evaluation continues throughout 2016. EHG awarded GIZ study on CCMs integration into national health systemsThe German BACKUP Initiative (GIZ) commissioned EHG to conduct a multi-country study on the integration of the Global Fund supported Country Coordinating Mechanisms (CCMs) into national health structures.
